Big Pike

I've been doing alright for numbers this ice season, but I've yet to hook into anything with any fight in it. I was wondering if any of you guys might have tips and spots for me to try (next Sunday morning) for big pike. I'm thinking the Ottawa river around with an hours drive of Orleans. I have a s...

There is the odd walleye in that lake. about 10 years ago on opening morning for pike in the spring I was trolling to get to another spot and I caught a 8lb Walleye (it's still the ...

Electric drill ice auger

I'm tired of hauling my heavy gas auger when i trek for long walking distances. I was thinking of buying something like a Finn bore 3 or something comparable and rigging it up so i could use my 18v electric drill. I have 3 lithium ion batteries for the drill and i use it often to drill cement and it...

A few years ago I used to work till 8:30pm and I would leave work and head straight out to my ice hut on the Ottawa. I would do pretty good. I wouldn't be afraid of fishing those times.

Thanks guys for the feedback. It's most appreciated, the one thing that is still not specific is: Will a Flasher show me the structure well? will it help me identify what it looks like down there? I fish up north often in the winter time, on lakes i haven't been able to scout in the summer soft wate...

Flasher over fish finder?

I don't have a whole lot of experience with either, but I am more familiar with fish...
