Motor/Battery Issues
About a month ago, while fishing the Rideau, my boat wouldn't start on the water. I jumped started the battery using my trolling battery and was able to troll for about 15 minutes until my "emergency horn" went off and my depth finder went blank. I turn off the motor and tried a restart bu...

Re: Charleston Lake
Thanks for the replies ... Great info Smitty ... I will hope for a quiet day to try and fish the weed bank. Also, I had wondered if the lake trout would be accessible so I'll bring a couple of spoons and try dragging one up. If I manage to catch anything, I'll post a report when I get back. Thanks a...

Charleston Lake
Hi Guys ... I know everyone fishes the lake for trout and bass but has anyone caught any nice sized pike, either on purpose or by accident?
I will be camping there next week and am looking for something to fish in my Yak.
Thanks

Trailer Wiring Problem
Hi all ... Not sure if this is the right place to ask but I need some advice from anybody who knows about trailer wiring. I have hooked up a different 4-pin trailer and there are no problems, so it's not the tow vehicle. I have a Lowe trailer and the right side lights are not working properly. The t...

Re: Musky combo choices?
Not sure you would want the same combo for throwing bulldawgs and spinnerbaits ... quite a difference in wait between the two. I use a highspeed reel and medium to medium heavy combo for spinnerbaits and a lowspeed reel and heavy combo for bulldawgs. 8 feet is a good length as it makes it easier to ...

Re: Quiet Muskie Opener?
I caught a 33 incher early in the morning on my second cast ... thought I was in for a great opener!!
Unfortunately, that was the only fish I saw for the rest of the day.

Connecting Flyline to backing and leader
Time to try some fly fishing this year... first of many questions I suspect.
What knot is used to connect the flyline to the backing and the leader.
If this has been answered previously, any links would be welcomed.
Thanks.
