hey guys, i know some of the launches on the ottawa are still iced in, but whats the deal.... municipal website says that they don't open until the long weekend in may, but the best crappie fishing is now!!! Can we use them before that, and park as we would in the summer. lets say....rockland, or we...

just came back from Mitchel's fish huts (jan 19-20), spent the weekend in one of their bungalows with 2 buddies....pounded the jumbo perch!!!!!

Thanks for the info guys. i went down on Sat. morning to look at a new 2015 Nanook they sat sitting around since last year....its sold Thursday night :cry: !! guess its off to the boat show in Feb.

straight out from the walk path is good, stray left or right to far and its 4" of slush, going to get worse this weekend with it worming up.

no keepers, so between 5-8 inches. turns out i got the day off work last minute so i'm thinking of giving her another go shortly. i was just left of the launch, most fish came from 8 fow.

Long Island Lock Ice Report

Hey guys, just got back from LIL. 4 hrs on ice = 28 perch, no real keepers. 10-12 inches of ice, hard crust of snow on top with a little water in between in places, so its a little slushy. Great day to be out and the new fish finder works awesome!!! tight lines!
