Re: Non planting food plots

Has anyone had success or used a non planting type seed for deer? I hunt crown land and permission on private... and its almost all bush. I was wondering if it was worth scattering some seed along some of the more open areas and ridgetops to help attract and hold deer. It would need to be something...

Il also second Steves comment on the commercial drills, they work way better, have seen his in action and it really shreds. I see im not the only one whos...

Re: shirleys bay ramp

is there enough room for trailers to get off the ice now? Pulled 2 off already Tbone, myn is about 80"wide and was room too spare. Getting to your front door on the other hand MAY be a different story depending on which trailer you are. Was out this evening and road is still very traverse-able...

Re: Musky killer Sentenced

Not bad though...$1000 fine and 2 year fishing ban is a decent sentence I think. I'm glad it was all followed through with. It's rewarding to see a positive result from a person going out of their way to report a crime...and the crime being successfully brought to justice and sentenced. It gives ot...

Re: shirleys bay ramp

I think it's safe to say you won't get much of a fine if you get it off. It's when they have to go out in April to get your numbers because it's too late you'll get a visit. RJ Rob, in a normal world you'd like to think so, but the MNR guy I spoke to was quite sure that there would be no grace peri...

Re: shirleys bay ramp

Got the entrance plowed out and a road out the the right, we cut it back to the left toward the main cluster of shacks but its not going to last long with this storm... Got my shack off with a little spinning at the top of the ramp, otherwise was easy going. If anyone needs a hand pulling their shac...

Re: shirleys bay ramp

Smitty, there WAS a solid path created before over the banks/rocks at the beginning of the ramp that everyone started using and now the rocks are starting to show as its wore away. Anyhow I & some buddies will be attempting to plow somewhat of an access tomorrow am. I will see how it goes and re...

Re: Fishing Mishaps

I was at Shirley's bay on Saturday and while there my son and I saw this guy setting up to do some wind surfing? we watched him setup his gear and he looked to be ready to get into the air so we got out and watched. First attempt failed, so did the second and third try as well. with each failed att...

Re: Found something at Shirley's.....

Canam04 did find a muffler in the garbage can.............. it was probably from the dealership vehicle that was stuck at the ramp on Sunday. I bet the manager at the dealership was real pleased to hear that the sales person let the driver take the SUV for a test run on the river just to fin...
