Papineau Labelle is closed for the season also . There is a couple of Islands just out from the launch at Ste Marie that you can camp on. So far... St-Marie is looking like my destination. I need to make up my mind sooner rather than later so I can start bringing firewood over one of these weekends...

Have you ever considered La Veryendre Park. If you are gonna go all the way to 31 mile lake, you might as well drive u to Maniwaki and then drive up to Baskatong and beyond to find a lake you will be able to enjoy yourslef on and camp on...........This will give you the type of Rustic thing you are...

Thanks for all the welcomes guys! This seems like the place to be if you like to wet line! I can't believe that I never knew about it before! I am a member of I-Boats.com (I redid a 14ft fiberglass from the stringers up!) and other "Hobbie" type groups; Hockey and Satellite "testing&q...

Thanks you BeaArthur for the solid advice! I was looking to an island just for privacy and the sense of being away from civilization... but a flushing toilet is nothing to cough at. Not sure exactly what I am going to do... I suppose I will know better when I head out there (I think this week-end if...

Just called them... fishing season is over there apparently!

I am thinking that St-Marie may be my only option. I know about a bunch of islands on the Baskatong... but that is big water for my little tinny.

Oh God... not Port Hope! If you go there, don't expect to see any of nature's splendor... nor should you expect to catch anything that you may want to ingest. In fact.. if you put your line in at Port Hope, remember to burn all the line and lures that you use there. Bring a HazMat suit. Never again ...

Thank you FisherGuy33!!

Change of plans!

No I have no idea what lake I will go to. I want WALLEYE! I would like to be in the Gatineau River system somewhere... Somewhere out of the way and not under a lot of fishing pressure.

Any ideas?

Please?!

Some one asked me where Farm Point was: Farm Point is about 15 minutes up the 5 then the 105 on your way to Wakefield; Take to 5 to Tulip Valley and then the 105 north to Farm Point. Turn right immediately after the IGA (Chemain St-Clément) At the bottom of that road there is a T, if you are shore ...

Looking for info on a Lake + Any one interested?

I am planning a 4 day 3 night trip to (31 mile) ***UPDATE*** Now I have no idea what lake!!**** lake. I know nothing about the lake other than what I have read in a blog that was suggested to me by a helpful member here. The blog was done by a paddler, not a fisherman. So there are gaps in pertinent...

So far I have gotten a PM suggesting Saint Marie... I am just unsure of the traffic and privacy on that lake opposed to 31 mile lake. I don't *know* either lake... but just going by what I have heard.

Any other suggestions?

Gatineau River - Farm Point. There is a bridge along the River Road in FP. For the *bigger* ones; cast a Storm plastic Shad a good 40 yards out into the current along side a massive weed be off to the right... and swim it up and down at a decent clip. Or.. Jig a Mr Twister no more than 10 yards out ...
