Was there too! All ready to go, tried to cross the slush at crappie bay but didn't get too far....I could of made it over with my boat but didn't want to take the chance of getting out there and the ice moving on me.

When ever Im covering water with weed beds, it's the best lure I find. Doesn't pick weeds like a crankbait or jerk bait! You never know what your going to catch with a spinnerbait.

Oct. 14th - Northern Pike (Personal Best)

Hit the water for a few hours yesterday and hooked this nice Northern Pike. My previous best was 31 Inches, this one measured 33 Inches and weighted in at 8.5 Lbs. Just want to share this bad boy I caught yesterday (Oct. 4th) while fishing from my Kayak at Petrie Island. I would think the health benefit is also another positive aspect of kayaking. And from a bird watcher's point of view, a quiet kayak can probably score you more sightings. I think I'd be afraid to take a pricey camera in the kayak until I was adept at getting around without tipping over or falling ...

You gotta starting taking that spinnerbait out of the fish before you take pictures. :P The secret that walleye like spinnerbaits wasn't supoosed to get out. Thats a beauty and it's amazing how much they like spinnerbaits along weed edges eh?? When I tell some of the oldtimers that I can catch wall...
