Colours
Hey Ransome - the thing about Muskrat in the fall (and other waters), I don't think colour matters much - we had success on browns, greens, white, black, clear and even lime - I think all they see is easy meals and GULP it's gone - I wish it was this easy all season, but .....................

Yup
Snagthis - you were in one of the good areas for sure, except you were out too far - just parrallel any rocky shoreline and drag or vertical a tube and you won't be disappointed - those areas unfortunately don't produce in the summer (only late fall - winter area??). Our biggest was a 4 lb 12 oz and...

Muskrat
Hey Ransome - pick any rocky shoreline on Muskrat and do a basic tube drag - don't be afraid to go deeper there - the bite is really on there now - be careful if you get any deep water smallies and let them go right away or else they will bloat as well it is their wintering holes so they need to be ...

Lake Clear
You'll love Lake Clear for fall smallmouth action. The lake is extremely clear - you can see easily 10+ feet down. The smallies are schooling there right now and putting their fall feed on. The flats and shoals produce great there right now - now sure about any deep water areas since we never target...

Hey Boys - I'm going to Muskrat on saturday as a "pre-fish" for the big gathering. I'll let you all know how the bite was, water levels, weed growth etc. I know Muskrat quite well, however, I have never caught a laker there (never targetted them) - I'll speak to a couple of buddies that fi...

Lead Free Zone
Hi Seaweed (and others) - regarding the issue of lead in those areas designated as lead-free zones, we discussed this exact subject a couple of years ago with the MNR. Their response at the time was that they clarified to us that you can possess lead but not fish with it. He went on to say that it i...
