Re: Spring Mineral Sites
I'm pretty sure the small buck in the above post on the right is this spike/forkie we had living there last year. http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm180/camphellbear/Deer%202015/sf_zpskfrvhzbl.jpg It could be a new young buck that filtered into the area, but i doubt it. This mineral site isnt on a...

Re: Spring Mineral Sites
It's been a few weeks, and I was excited to check the cams. I wasnt expecting much to be honest. These 2 sites are located in areas that deer use more in the summer/fall and activity is determined by which deer have filtered back into the area from their winter/spring ranges. Nothing was around our ...

Re: Lake Awesome Lakers...
I love the lake o lakers. Quality fishing there rob.
......but i gotta ask.....if lakers are closed in SE ON, does it make an angler a hypocrite to fish them on Lake Ontario?

This is the log in the second picture. It use to extend out an additional 15-20' but the deer and other critters have eaten it over the last 5 years. http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm180/camphellbear/hunting%202015/11212623_10155632204265106_4301014098144406547_o_zpsirzsuxn0.jpg We normally set ...

Spring Mineral Sites
Who's getting their spring mineral sites prepped? I got out about 10 days ago and set up the first 2 of our mineral sites. I've had great success with Rack Stakers "Blaze" and "Glory" powder mixes. We've played around with sites for over 5 years now and the best set up has been o...

Re: Fur 2015
We brought an end to our fur season this past weekend and as in years past, we like to do our "end of the line" annual picture on the barn before shipping our hides off to the NAFA auction. It was a good year. We didnt go at it as hard as we'd like to have. Fur prices just arent strong rig...

Re: Cecil the Lion - How things change
RJ, check out Jim Shockey's show 'Uncharted" sometime. He gives a real personal look at some of the communities in Africa as well as how hunters play a role in them and the management of their resources. Its very well done. Bl8ant, those elephants would be long gone if it wasnt for preserves an...
