I helped my brother-in-law do his. Lund wanted $3000. to repair it. Not much cost in materials mostly labor, have to take it completely apart. We had to use a chainsaw very carefully to remove old plywood as it was water logged and hard to get out.

Run wires directly to the starting battery with an in line fuse close to the battery is the way to go. Less chance of interference and cost is minimal.
