Hey guys, don't sell mother nature short just yet or your boats. Walleye hasn't opened yet on the Ottawa and May is just starting and the rain will not be far behind. I would expect a large amount of rain coming in May so get the rain gear out. Water levels will be down from normal, but once the hea...

Well folk’s, I wasn't going to comment on this thread anymore after my last reply. With all due respect Marc.......... Here are the potential facts on the economic impact this event could potentially have on the Montreal area. You made reference to half the field being eliminated after day one. Th...

Nice report Fisherguy33. I sure hope you released that 5+lber, because there is a size limit on walleye this time of year on the Ottawa River.
Ont Reg state: must be less than 40 cm
(15.8 in.) from Mar. 1 - June 15.

Yes Trophymuskie, there must be the two of us in Hammond. Been a fishing (bass) nut for 20+ years. All I can add to this post is, thank god for contentious issues or beliefs, or the FH site would be really boring and it would be a longer winter. People must realize things happen, for the good or the...

Trophymuskie, I can only imagine how you would feel, if you had a couple of charters booked (now) for a few days the following week after opening day of muskie season and were informed in Jan that the season opener would be delayed for a week... no prefish and not customers that week. Furthermore, w...

WOW....Boys you're not making FH imagine any good here. FH is not design to be a crime fighter, which this post has turned into the B1 bashing for their actions and not options on OOS fishing. Firstly, well stated Norm... Here is a little history on the events that lead up to the creation of this no...

Hi Smitty. Round Lake has "some" Lake Trout, Walleye, whitefish, Pike and pan fish. I haven't fished it in about ten years, but if the bites on you should get a few fish. A the lake is basically a bowl in shape, deeper water/sand edges produce go whitefish and trout. River/creek mouth flat...

I agree with Joco. 24/7's idea is the easiest. Drill below surface then dab a drop of crazy glue...wa.........................it. Then pull it out.

Hi Mike. I don't mind getting to specific. I have caught them in the narrows area in Orillia. Not sure if you have a boat of not. But if you do then fish the channels leading into Hammack Harbor campground which is on your right past the swinging railway bridge, coming from Lake Simcoe. Fish with sm...

Hi Fish'n Tech. As for your question. Well I know of people that owned the OMC OB's, with VRO injection used to do this just in case their VRO pump failed. This was the shortcoming of large OMC OB's. Adding TCW3 oil to your main tank will help in this case, but will fowl your plugs more often and ye...

Gordy. Firstly, is your unit the H2O or the H2Oc. Seeing the Navionics chip you have is for all of Canada, you may not have picked the segment for Ontario. Best zoom out and the selected segment should come on screen of map, and show the segments for BC, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and the maritimes y...

Hi 1Lastcast. There are several diffierences between the units. Firstly, its obvious that the LCX-27C has better capablities, such as: 1. it has a dual MMC/SD compartment, which allows you to save lake info to a spare MMC/SD, ie BOQ spots or locations that you fish, which will not eat up space on yo...
