Making your own Lures!

I have been making my own wooden baits for a number of years. Give most of them to friends etc. Would love to try my hand at BIG spinnerbaits. If anyone knows of a GOOD QUALITY kit, PLEASE let me know!! Some of the benders are quite costly!! It is truly a UNIQUE feeling to catch a fish on something ...

Calculating prop pitch!??

Got a buddy who has a Stainless steel prop that will fit my motor. Apparently there are NO markings on it that tell what the pitch is!! Only thing visible is 698099-1
Anyone know the best way to measure the pitch accurately?

I know there must be some simple method but I can't think of it
HELP!

Actually the old feller who gave them to me said they did in fact catch fish!! He said it was a pain in the butt to straighten the "crazy legs" after a good size fish. I tried one out in my pool and the action is quite unique. I don't think I will try it on the lake just yet. Did some chec...

Lure Indentification Help

Got 2 topwater lures from a buddy. Has small propeller on the rear that when it moves...so do the 4 legs(kinda look like small pipe cleaners). He says he got them in US a long time ago but can't remember where.
Any help/info would be most appreciated.

Took a closer look last night. It is definitely hexagon shaped and 3 pieces but I could not make out any kind of markings on it. Did ask the friend who gave it to me...he thinks it was made by "Hawk Henshaw"(?) in London,Ont., a loooong time ago. Googled that and came up empty. The action ...

Old Split Bamboo Fly Rod??

Friend gave me an old Split Bamboo fly rod. Don't know much about them. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to who could've made it/when and any other info etc. I don't want to take it out on the lake if is something of value, but sure does seem to have a smooth action to it!

Thanks,

Last fall I was looking for a new vehicle, one that would tow my boat just in case I get rid of my van. I looked at EVERYTHING! I really liked the SantaFe but after much investigation(phone calls to Hyundai etc) I stroked it off the list, as I would have to add trailer brakes 'cuz the Santa Fe 's br...

Towing with/without transmission cooler

Bought an 08 Ford Escape recently and put a Class III hitch on it and paid the dealer to install the hitch plus a transmission cooler. Took it in for 1st oil change and lo & behold...no oil cooler. Now the dealer says that the 08 has upgraded cooler built in and an add on cooler is not necessary...
