Here's a few pictures from the Aug 2005 trip to Nemio's on the Gouin Reservoir (Baie du Nord). Here's McQ running on the Nemio River with one of Nemio's Princecraft boats http://www.myfishingpictures.com/data/500/5522IMG_0206_2.jpg Here's the entrance into Baie du Nord from the Nemio River http://ww...

Thanks for responding Justin. Part of my problem was that I couldn't seem to find any Kistler rods that would compare with either a St Croix TWS66MLF or a St Croix PS60MLF for walleye jigging. I'll definitely stop by Baitcasters at the Carp Show to have a look see.

I visited the Kistler web site and perused through the freshwater fishing rods, in particular the worm and jig rods as well as the specialty fishing rods. I saw only one rod classified as medium light. There were a few rods classified as medium and a bunch classified as heavy. When I selected the me...

Here’s a great opportunity to fish with a guy (McQ) who most of you know as a very knowledgeable fisherman. Additionally, he is an expert about fishing the Gouin Reservoir. He’s been on most of the Reservoir and that by itself is an accomplishment. The surface area of the Gouin Reservoir is 1570...

Yes, Joco, I've definitely has enough snow too. I read that we've had 360 cm of snow this winter - that's 12 feet of the white stuff for those of us educated in the 50s and 60s.

Hi Wolfe: My two cents may not be worth too much because I don't own a boat. But that doesn't mean I haven't spent a lot of time researching and looking at new boats. Over the 30 + years I have fished out of boats, I have developed some preferences. Most likely, my biggest preference is safety. I do...

I find it far easier to work with the Universal Transverse Mercator grid system when using maps and my GPS. Here's a web reference that might take a look at: http://www.gpsnuts.com/myGPS/GPS/Tutori ... s/maps.htm

Wolfe: So sorry to hear your sad news! Even though its been 7 years since we had to put down our 13 year old yellow labrador Jesse, its still very easy to remember the heart wrenching feelings we experienced then. Solace then came from fond memories of the 13 wonderful years we did have with Jesse. ...
