Try Leslie Lake. It is near Otter Lake. It is beautiful there. If you have young children, they will love the beach. They have built 2 new cabins. You can rent canoes, paddle boats and kayaks. I know there is a good little spot just out a bit and to the right that has some nice bass. Here is the lin...

I have a 14 footer with a 20 hp on it. I leave it down. But I also strap in to the trailer. I had a transom saver once, and I hit a bump and it went flying off. Maybe I did not have it on right. I am not really sure. So I just leave it off now. I have never had any problems. And I drive an hour and ...

I read that the guys in the canoe were two paramedics. They were unable to get him in the canoe, so they kept hime along side until the rescue unit showed up with the proper equipment. The guy was wearing a proper wetsuit. This was the reason they kept him in the water rather than risk tipping the c...

Thanks for all the advice. I have checked fuses. They seem okay. As JP said it is wired directly to the fuse box. I have not checked the ground wire on the trailer. I think the problem is with the car though. As I mentioned, the U Haul connector lights up like a Christmas tree. And none of those lig...

Trailer Troubles
Well I hooked up my trailer for the first time this season. And my lights do not work! I have no idea where to begin looking for problems. I did notice that the little lights on my connector are no longer on like they usually were.(U Haul connector). This leaves me to believe that the issue is with ...

Lake Maps
I found a site that offers maps of many area lakes. They are maps that come from a map publication I have seen in book stores. They are just depth charts. They also tell you what fish are in the lake. Anyways I just thought I would pass it along. It may be useful to some people. http://www.anglersat...

Well I have a '96 Yamaha 20 hp. It is a 2 stroke, and it runs great. And I do not have to mix oil and gas, as it is oil injected. My neighbor has a 4 stroke 15hp Yamaha. It weighs more than mine for sure. So it is definitely easier on the back. Still heavy though. Mine is about 104 lbs., if I recall...
