Re: small lakes to portage into

I have been to Hart lake off of Opinicon, Lower Rock lake off of Upper Rock lake. Fawn Lake off Crotch lake. All were great fishing, but looking for more remote lakes in that area. There are so many on maps that I need some tips from you fine folks that have been to them.
Thanks, Buzz

small lakes to portage into

I am on the hunt for small lakes or large ponds to portage into in south eastern Ontario. If it has crown land on it all the better. I have a canoe and kayak with a walker. I would like to camp on it but that isn't a deal killer if you can't. Just want quiet waters to fish and check out.

Norcan lake

I have wanted to fish there myself. So that I can mark it on my map for future use. Where is the boat launch? If you could tell me the road or area so that I can find it. Thanks, and nice fish! Buzz

Changed my tune

After having read Fish-Hawk posting guideline’s I will back down on this possible heated discussion. Out of season fish in Canada is just what it is. I will come up during the season in the future to avoid the ugly scene we endured. From my point of view I don't know what the entire stink is about...

did you read my post?

Just like the owners you too just jump to conclustions. We were fishing sholes that had deep weed beds on them. Charleston lake has very few weed beds, and lots of deep rocky sholes. When we found one and they were near shore on occation we fished them. We caught pike on them most of the time too. Y...

Is it easy? can you send directions so I can do it without spending hours trying to figure it out? If so thanks. My buddy got 2 pike over 10 pounds and I got a couple in...

What's with the attitude?

I was up fishing last weekend June 7-10 at Charleston Lake. We went after Northern Pike and Lake trout. Every singe time we would stop on a deep weedbed to fish all the local land owners would go nuts on us. Stop slaughtering the bass they would yell. People would drive their boat clear across the l...
