Nice lookin' fish!! The first pic -- is that just a few hundred yards downstream of the launch @ Alexander Dam? I was there with my dad about 3 weeks ago and we got skunked (which rarely happens to my dad on the Nipigon River). We figured they maybe hadn't run up that far yet. The water was so shal...

Sweet Bow, Steve. Ya just can't beat hookin' trout on a fly. It doesn't get any better than that. Awesome report, but watch out for that bug that may have bitten you on your trip...That's the one that makes ya dream about heading back out for more...Look forward to your next trout outing. Good afternoon fellow Fish Hawkers, it's been awhile since I've posted so I thought I'd drop a short note to let you know that the salmon are now moving in. Here's a few pics. Good evening fellow Hawkers, just another short report. It was a nice warm evening all the chores were done, so I thought I take the dog down to the river and since I'm going to be there I took my rod with me. This was a little longer than the last trip (40 minutes two fish and back to the house) Fi...

Lakers in the river, is that just a spring thing or is the river cold enough to keep them around there year round? Their in the river for the next couple of weeks. As the water warms they head back out to Superior or into Lake Helen. But we have hook some in July. The size range from 2 - 5lbs with ...

What no story? How you had to decide which rock to stand on, and in the end you stood on the smaller rock? How you had 2 follows and 1 bite off? How catching the fish brought meaning into your life? :D Nice fish, loverly spot you live! Actually the real story is I bought an $11.00 EGB Spoon which I...

Thanks Troutbum, your going to be a little pee pee at this but all the specks were caught sitting in the brown fold up camp chair right beside the fire pit. I was throwing out 20ft of line...that's it. Dry flying and they ...
