For attaching leaders a on floating lines we use a nail knot to attach the leader to the line and then tie a per...

We teach rod building here at the shop. Of course we specialize in Single hand Fly rods as well as switch and spey, I can get blanks and parts for baitcasters or spinning rods. The cost depends on the components you select. If you stay with basic chrome/black components and reel seat you could build...

Fun while it lasted

Took advantage of a day off work and did a little fishing on the Ganny. This was my first Chinook. http://www.fish-hawk.net/photogallery/albums/userpics/normal_Ganny1.jpg When we arrived there were around 3-4 fish per pool. Around 3:30 we had to quit as the pools were so stacked with fish we couldn'...

Attention - Float Tube Users - An accident we can learn from

We had a customer ( a very experienced tuber) suffer a sudden and complete bladder failure while traversing the middle of a lake. This individual was forced to swim ashore with water filled waders and boots while holding their rod. Not a good situation to say the least. The cause of the failure was ...

Save your money. The standard SA pike leaders have the same twist system for a lot less money. I've used the SA leaders but prefer the knotable wire tippet over a solid wire leader for flies.

The prices you found are fair prices. Those stores are not making a killing selling it at those prices.

We are out of stock on the Amadou. We do have shamadou in stock.

Sit on top Kayaks have "scupper" holes. They allow the boat to be "self bailing".

Sit on tops work the opposite power boats, plug the hole and you capsize, leave the plug out and you float.

If bass is you primary target an 8wt would be a good choice. For Musky, generally a larger rod is preferred. ...
