Played with it myself a few weeks back.... loved checking out the Calabogie area although the graphics weren't as good as the urban areas.

As this is probably low tech compared to what the US military uses you have to wonder why they can't find Osama

Awesome job!!!

The little one is outfishing me....

Quick question though...... how can you tell the difference between the stocked and natural lakers?

Would like to know as I'd love to practice the same type of catch and release.

Thanks, Buzzer

I agree with Yung Fisher... much better spot for me anyway. I've fished this area, lauching from the Conservation area in Almonte down river quite some ways. Lots of Bass, and in the evening lots of "snot rockets" (small Pike), in the weedbeds where the Bass seem to be during the day. Neve...

Hi: I just got setup with an Electric motor on my fiberglass canoe. It doesn't have a motor mount so I had to buy one. (In other words my canoe wasn't designed to have a motor on it) I purchased a Minn-Kota Maxxim, variable speed, 40lbs thrust motor with a 36 inch shaft and it does everything your'r...

Long Lasting Battery Trolling Motor

Hi: Thanks too all for your assistance so far. I picked up a Minn Kota 40 lbs thrust Maxxim electric motor for my canoe. What type of battery would you recommend? (The longer it lasts the better). I'm hoping to spend a lot of time trolling for now. If you can reccomend a charger to go with the batte...

Hi Dratherbefishing Used to shore fish quite a bit and spring always seemed like the best time. Here are a few spots I visit.... 1. Jock River just off Eagleson past the Richmond nursery. 2. Jock River, turn left when you reach Richmond and go East to the first bridge which will be on your right 3. ...

I picked up a cheap one a few years back at Mark's Work World. I think it cost me about $40. (Cheapest one they had at the time) Gained some weight and now the rear end has a bit of a tear in it  Works ok still (I sit on my butt alot when fishing), but if I had to do it over again I'd buy eith...

Hi:

Check out the map project page http://www.fish-hawk.net/Map_project/Sharbot.php it's pretty good. Also right in between Crusoe and Green there is a nice spot... (feels like you're right in the middle), hard to find without any fish finder though.

Just caught my first Laker today in Algonquin. As we were at the Park in the "Wilderness" area we were all in canoes and therefore no downriggers. There were six of us and over 15 Lakers were caught, most on leadcore or steel line. My first was caught on leadcore line trolling a big spoon ...
