Hi: I just got setup with an Electric motor on my fiberglass canoe. It doesn't have a motor mount so I had to buy one. (In other words my canoe wasn't designed to have a motor on it) I purchased a Minn-Kota Maxxim, variable speed, 40lbs thrust motor with a 36 inch shaft and it does everything your'r...

Hi: Thanks too all for your assistance so far. I picked up a Minn Kota 40 lbs thrust Maxxim electric motor for my canoe. What type of battery would you recommend? (The longer it lasts the better). (Cheapest one they had at the time) Gained some weight and now the rear end has a bit of a tear in it  Works ok still (I sit on my butt alot when fishing), but if I had to do it over again I'd buy eith...

Hi:
Check out the map project page http://www.fish-hawk.net/Map_project/Sharbot.php it's pretty good. Also right in between Crusoe and Green there is a nice spot... (feels like you're right in the middle), hard to find without any fish finder though.
