Re: Cardinal boat ramp closed due to high water

The way it is going the river is going to be high all summer. The did implement the 2014 Plan back in January replacing Plan 1958DD which calls for lower levels in the summer and higher in the fall in some years. We will see how it plays out this summer with the current high water situation. Read up...

Re: Bass tournament anglers an opportunity is here.....

Thanks to Shawn, Adam, Blake, Ed, Alex and RJ for the comments. Myself and others on the RB executive are very proud on what we have created. As it has been said, we are volunteers and do this because we are passionate about fishing. Because we have nothing to gain from running Renegade Bass we make...

Re: Bass tournament anglers an opportunity is here.....

This has been talked about at length but nothing seems to have been done. It's great that RBT has an amazing prize for the classic but what seems to be the biggest issue is retention of new members. Quite a few new teams that were there last year, are just not on that list. It also seems as though ...

Re: Bass tournament anglers an opportunity is here.....

I have no doubt in my mind I’ll be back fishing RBT eventually, probably sooner than I think, but really hoping for a few changes before I do. You say it’s the first you hear about guys wanting 5 events, but it’s been talked/mentioned numerous times before, can’t help but wonder if the middle/botto...

Re: Bass tournament anglers an opportunity is here.....

Ed, Thank you for providing some insight from a currently registered participant in the series. It would be nice to hear from a few others but I somehow doubt it will happen. The issue here though is it with what makes the series great for the people who are there but how to get the numbers back up...

Re: Bass tournament anglers an opportunity is here.....

First and foremost everyone should know I am the president of Renegade Bass. Not that it should at all matter. I don't make a cent of volunteering my time. Volunteering exactly cost me lots and lots of time and yes it cost me money. It may have cost me my marriage but whatever. That is my problem. I...

There is a few fish at the dam ;). Be sure to respect the buoys and stay clear of the dam.

Re: locating bass Cornwall??

Fish in the current but look for current breaks. You can catch smallies just down stream of the boat launch off water street in Cornwall. Use tubes and drop shots with enough weight to get to bottom. The amount of weight depends on current but you'll need at least 1/2 oz with 3/4 oz being appropriat...

Re: Crappie Fishing in Manotick area for 2015

Still ice on the shoreline through most of the Rideau River. It is just a matter of days now till you can get the boat wet in the Rideau.

Cheers,

Re: Kiwanis Walleye World.

This season we have bought tickets to to big kiwanis walleye world derby. I had a few questions that some of you may be able to answer. Do I need to check in before I start fishing? As well as do I need to launch at a weigh station or is any launch ok? I am looking for a decent launch in the Hay Ba...

Re: Practicing for the Tourney last night

daveh_cdn, You need to have a firm grip between your thumb and fore finger when holding a bass. Supporting their belly will also help to minimize the bass flopping and gives you a second hand to control the fish. Some fish will cooperate and be still long enough to get a good picture, weigh them or ...
