Many sites post their line retreival speed. For example, check out the Okuma site for Convector reels.

This is a timely post as I have been thinking of ways to try and make it easier to pull these types of sleds. I have a Fabrill clam type sled and found it can be quite a slog sometimes t to pull the heavier and deeper the snow gets. What I first tried was paste wax the bottom like we did as kids for...

Found a ice fishing tent by the side of the road at walleye bay tonight at about 4:45 pm. If you lost it, give me a call at 613-824-0059.

After using a multitude of oils, for the last few years I've been using Lucas in all my 2 stroke motors: 30 hp evinrude, snowblower, auger, weedeater and chainsaw and have always put stabilizer in the gas with every mix. Even run all the old mixed gas in my 4 stroke lawnmower. Every engine has never...

Remove the connections to the battery before charging. If completely dead it may take up to 14-18 hours to full charge. Basic charging guidelines are to charge the battery two hours for every three hours of use. Although the charger is low output, it can still damage the battery if left on for exten...

Petrie Island Ice
Checked out all the bays this afternoon. The water is high and there is some flooding on the lower points i.e. there is water right up to the gate at Walley Bay. There is brown slush about 6 feet wide around the edges of the ice in crappy bay so be careful, especially with the high water, the levels...

Were you aware?
This should stir up some conversation. A CO recently stated that the QC MNR does not recognize the Ontario Conservation License when fishing in QC water on the Ottawa because there is no equivalent in their regulations. So, if you are fishing over the boundary line on the Ottawa in Quebec waters, yo...

Rapala Schematics?
I've been looking everywhere for a free schematic for a Rapala RSC 30LC.
Can't find any schematics for Rapala anywhere on line.
Anyone know the secret?
