Side Imaging Do you use it?

Hey folks

Looking at upgrading my ancient fishinder and have been checking out some different models. Whats your opinion on the side imaging option vs just the sonar /down imaging. Do you find you actually use it? Any particular situations ? Any insight welcome.

Cheers

Nanofil + Leader

Good Day folks Its been a while since I checked in. For the nanofil users out there, what knot are you using to connectyour leader material (if you use a leader) . I've tried back to back uni knots and it seems to work ok but on occasion I've had the connection slip. Maybe its my knot tying skills t...

Custom Boat Covers

Good Day folks

Its seems the current trailering cover for my boat is on its last legs. Does anyone have any recommendations on who does custom fitted covers covers in the ottawa area, preferrable the east end?

Much appreciated.

Winterizing and storage

Hello all Purchased a new to me boat this summer and am now wondering about winterizing and storage. There is no way I'm fitting it in the garage so I'm wondering if most of you store indoors or outdoors? I was thinking about having it shrink wrapped and stored. Are there any other options I'm not c...

I have one and love it. I bought the summer transducer kit and now have a great portable sonar for northern trips. I seldom use it in flasher mode any more as I find it easier to read in graph mode. I've never had a problem with interference with or units or with picking up my lure. It does take a l...

Wasn't the $$$ from fishing licenses supposed to go back into protecting the resource? You see how long that lasted.

If it was kept, or released in a frying pan, it's none of anyone's business, nor is it illegal. Some people need to keep their mouthes shut. Period. And B444 after all the slamming you take about the weights you claim your fish weigh, how can you stoop to that level and do the same? I'm gonna go re...

Talk about beating a dead horse.

If you don't like it don't watch. Shore lunches or not, the guy has done a lot for the resource in this province over the years. When you've done the same then you can stand on your soap box and criticize.
