Bark Lake - Ice conditions. (Madawaska)

Hi Folks, Has anyone been out lately on Bark Lake ice fishing? I usually don't go until March, but this year I have heard nothing about the ice conditions. I am talking about Bark lake just south of Hwy 60 to the south of Madawaska. I know the ice can fluctuate, because of the controlled water level...

As of this morning, there is probably 14-16 inches of ice. My friend lives there and he's been all over the lake on his sled trailering a toboggan and no slush issues.

Lake Trout Rideau Lake

A friend and I are looking at trying our luck on the Rideau Lake for Lake trout this weekend. We are launching the boat out of Portland. Neither of us have fished this lake before so we are newbies :) Any tips are greatly appreciated. The lake is huge, so knowing where to fish would be a great help....

Great fish ! I fished in the long narrows area this year and the ice like you said was not great. We only had 3'' of ice for a short window in Feb when I was there. I found the fish to be deeper this year ,at least the bigger fish we caught in the double digits...did you find it was the same where y...
