Re: Dont know the Ottawa River
Thats just below the chenaux dam. You are going to be dealing with lots of current on a narrow stretch of rock river. Plenty of fish up there, though I rarley venture up past the narrows that would lead me to browns bay. If you leave the narrows heading downstream, make sure you have a motor strong ...

Not closed just park up on the grass as to not block access to the bins. Its muddy though.
They were biting, we smoked em pretty good Saturday evening. In about 2 hours we landed 20-25, including a couple well over slot.

Re: How is the Muskrat Lake Ramp in Cobden and Other Things
Re: the Bonny. Launched there all weekend, they cleaned it up a bit on friday. Still a little muddy but no problem getting in and out.
I too was concerned about about debris, was really a none issue, saw very little.

All the muskie tackle I looked up had been marked up by about 20-30 %. So even though their ship is sinking, they are stil...

Re: if its true..
Staff at the fishing counter had no interest in helping any one out. They were brutal. Website crap. I once paid in advance for a 1200 dollar TM, so they would ship it in from Montreal. Was called and told it was in, couldn't make it to the store until 2 days later. When I went to pick it up I was i...

Re: Love this time of Year!
Good fishing fellas, some good looking fishes ya's nabbed there! Cheap, heavy, floating bait, tied to crappy rod and reel with cheap 20 lb mono or braid. Cast waaayyyyy out in front of them, leave in free spool. If they are not totally brain dead, they stop and go around.....if not, you will be re-s...

No story, just the fact that I know people who have been ticketed for parking at other McNab launches.YakAttack wrote:What's the story behind this?Relic wrote:I wouldn't trust for a minute that you wont get a ticket for just parking....why...because I know for certain it happens.

Re: A Surprise First
This is how obsessions are born...trust me.
Awesome fish, happy to here you stuck around with her to watch her disappear, kudos on that. Congrats on a great fish.
Muskies in the Ottawa generally need 50 inches to break the 30lb mark. I would put good money on that being a 50 inch fish.
