I was by there yesterday, only a light skim of ice out about 100 feet looks like it will be a while. I fish there every year but mostly in a flip over or tent. This year I am going tp put a small structure out for the duration. I would like to meet more people out there and get a little community go...

I just went through the Ottawa bylaws and there is not bylaw against fishing from shore. But you have to use your brain, stay off personal docks, lawns etc....

I was out there several times this winter and caught several Large Pike and some decent perch. probably only a dozen huts and a few others at any given time. I do not know about the summer months I have yet to go out there since the ice left.
