One day we were fishing Muskrat trying hard for those elusive lakers. I was using a 3-way swivel with a 2-Oz weight to get it down followed by a spoon of some sort. I got a hit so I thought finally its laker time on this lake but to my surprise I hauled up a fairly hefty catfish. Maybe not a big sur...

Hi Brooksy I was there a few years back, I can't actually remember which cabin I was in however all are close to the water but not really right beside it. Just a 30 second walk to the docks. The cabins are pretty close together as I recall. Pretty nice accommodations but I think I was in one of the ...

You might want to try Sunny Hill Resort on Bark lake. They have nice cabins of various sizes, good fishing with boat rentals. Not too far away ...

I also sometimes like Hooked with Mark Krupa. He's a bit of a knob but he fishes some pretty amazing spots. I went on a trip to Newfoundland a few years back so I also really like Newfoundland Sportsmen. I'm not a hunter so I don't like the hunting shows as much as when they are fishing the ponds fo...

Impressive display Bunk old chap! How many pounds of fish this year for you? Thanks for displaying my fly rod wizardry, that was a nice 6-pounder I was battling there huh? At least 6! Hopefully we'll be hitting the hard water when you're down this way next. Or are you doing Niagara or something like?

Makes me think of a time ... I was a younger man of about 25. I had gone down the the stream that beauty day in May in hopes of meeting up with Mr. Walleye. Took a few casts with my plastic bait through the steady current when out of ambush came a heavy fish. It pulled and it fought, using the curre...

Yeah, I tend to agree with all you conspiracy theorists. That tail, little too much forking there. I've caught a few ice splake but they were no where near that colourful but then they wouldn't be that time of year I guess. It does have me dreaming about my little splake hole ... hopefully only a co...

Nice Bunk! Good to see you're getting out with a few new partners; looks like you made that guy Juan's year! Sweet eye too, if that were the fall that fish would be a 10 for sure! Wish I was having more luck around here but then I haven't put in much time. Good on ya!

I'd suggest spending some time fishing Red Indian Lake and the area. Also like someone said stick to the ponds. They aren't regulated the same as the scheduled salmon waters so you don't have to use a fly or have a guide or fly fish if you don't want to. Another thing is look into getting your licen...

Nice haul lads! Those fillets will look even sweeter breaded up all nice swimming in a few inches of fat! I'm curious, what kind of heater is that you can see in your first pic? My buddy and I fish a lot out of a Frabill shelter but find those Coleman Black Cats do kick off a fair amount of heat but...
